It's 2:30am here ... this feels like "old times" .... where I came into the forums in the first place and was having trouble sleeping .... only its @Decadian talking about Star Trek Votager instead of you .... lol ...

This is the first time in all our travels that we have been hit by the flu like this .... but your stories show that it is a hazard that we don't usually consider. Stomach flu is more common zo think in some regions, but they are ones we tend not to visit anyway. It has been a rude shock. The worst of it appears to last three days, as you say ....

I am feeling much better. Have woken now for S2 coughing in the next room, rather than me tonight .... and can hear WH and MIL coughing from inside. I think theirs is going to last longer because they are not taking the same sort of self-care.

Really glad to hear you are getting over the three day nadir of it. Good that you are looking after yourself and others who will be looked after too. Hoping it passes for all asap.

2.30am. Oh yes, I remember my times well at that hour, lovely time. These days I am getting to bed a lot earlier on the whole. Up much earlier in the day, even if not up and at em. Still find myself with more energy in the evening than in the day. But today a friend is visiting and we are going for a swim in the pool or the ocean, depending on how we feel. Haven't seen her for a few weeks so looking forward to catching up. 🙂

I had a giggle about how it used to be me speaking about Star Trek and now it's @Decadian. 😄

They are showing The Next Generation now - I think we are seeing the third season and I have never seen any of these before

Early this morning Jean-Luc Picard was captured by the Borg - and we got "To be Continued" and darn

The Stupid Celebs in the Jungle was on Sunday night, lunchtime yesterday, late afternoon yesterday - new episode yesterday evening repeating as I write - and advertised for tonight and do I ever smart - I am so aggravated - the whole Celeb thing aggravates me - I am allowed to be aggravated - my feelings are valid -

Of course - if people have to watch the same programme over and over again I am guilty also - but I think I had better give the Jungle Juice a break - I am finding it really hard not to swear anyway

My son and I bonded over various Star Trek series and continued the tradition.  

I watched my first shows with my brother long gone. Fond memories.

I'm off to work in youth mental health, which I am very passionate about, so it's exciting, although I am sad to be leaving my Forums friends!

I wasn't sure whether you'd seen the message @NikNik posted here about it, where I have received some lovely farewell messages - sorry you didn't see it earlier, I thought I'd tag you in my post above to make sure!

My fellow mods have been very kind in letting me spend the whole of my last two days on the Forums so I can chat to you wonderful people, and I've been glad you've been around to talk to @Faith-and-Hope
