I am glad to hear that @Faith-and-Hope
What is she planning to study? I know she is having a gap-year which seems a good idea all the time - it is quite different when people get into tertiary studies
As a private tutor I would notice the difference - people in Year 12 have everyone pushing them and pushing them - as if there was not already enough pressure - and then the culture shock of further studies can be a bit shattering - no one cares any more - people are given their assignments and no one is on their back - as if Year 12 is the be all and end all of life - which makes life really really hard and you already know this
But a gap year gives students perspective - other life - whatever it is - gives a person a chance to change gears
So I wish her all the best - and the rest of you - I hope this holiday is the best ever for everyone

Hi @Shaz51
I know your husband has a lot of health issues - but I am sorry but I have laugh a bit when he said he doesn't know why but he feels very old - or maybe just old.
Oh dear dear dear - how the years pass - I feel very old and worn out this week - and they're giving us another public holiday - that really wears me down
But I am thinking with your detailing business public holidays must really hit your system - imo public holidays just mean people doing more work in less time and people getting paid for a day off - ah - does that make up for all the extra work they have to do in the remaining days?
I remember - when I worked full-time casual so I didn't get paid for public holidays - I would turn up after a day off in the name of the public good - even started a new job the day after cup-day once - after spending a long time on the Big Dipper and my back ached
But what I found after a day off was more and more paper on my desk when I got to work - no matter how neat and tidy my desk was when I left - when I got to work the next day I could hardly find it for all the paper - computer printouts, invoices, delivery dockets, orders and notes with questions - and everything no one else knew what to do with - and throw in a public holiday and it looked like a paper storm
Anyway - thinking of that makes me feel ancient - so anyway
I am thinking of you with your husband panic-stricken no matter which way the business is going - could that be making him feel old?
Of course
Anyway - everyone is a day older than they were yesterday
And thinking about it - yes - after a bad night - I am feeling old - but then - I am
Can I find a good pic for you @Shaz51?
Oh boy! Look what I found
Hugs

Thanks @Faith-and-Hope
If you're handing out cuppas - I'll have coffee every time
I remember one of those clip-art coffee's actually said "coffee" - maybe I'll have one of those
Tea tastes horrible to me - I used to drink it by the gallon and full of sugar too - but now - eek - no tea
I wonder what I can find in the graphics cup of coffee departments
