Re: Am Not Coping

Hi @oceangirl, that sounds expensive and I hope you can get something back from it. The main thing though is that Milo is back home. How's he doing?

Re: Am Not Coping

He is doing well @TheVorticon I should get back 80%.

Re: Am Not Coping

I am all ears @Zoe7 ..,,,

I have a sculpture to do, so the papier-mâché object will be specific to that, but if you have any papier-mâché tricks I would love to know .....

Wow @oceangirl, I hope you do get some of that cost back ...

What is diamond painting ?  Are you talking about the diamond shape ?

Re: Am Not Coping

The hardest part is getting the wire shaped as close to the final product as you can - then making sure you space out the layering so it doesn't collapse in some parts with too much weight. Once you get the first few layers on and fully dry then you can start to mould in any specific features like mouths, eyes, tails etc. @Faith-and-Hope

I am getting excited just talking about it lol

I have always wanted to make a rocking horse but I do not have the space at the moment to put it. Maybe once I get back to work and can take some of my school stuff with me then I can start that.

Re: Am Not Coping

It was a bit more then they quoted, they said 1500 for the weekend and I thought that included what they did on Thursday. I think its a lot of money. Its just lucky that I can afford it.

The diamond painting is a kit and you just match the colours. I have got my first kit but I have not started yet. @Faith-and-Hope

Re: Am Not Coping

I could do this in my art class @Zoe7 Smiley Happy

Re: Am Not Coping

What can you do in your art class @oceangirl?

Re: Am Not Coping

Diamond painting is a relatively new art form where it breaks images down into patterns, very similar to cross stitch. Small, glossy tiles are then applied to canvas to make the pattern.

The tiles which are often called rhinestones or drills, are colour matched to the DMC thread colours and are 2.5mm in size. One side of the tile is flat which is stuck onto the canvas whilst the other is 5D, giving the design a sparkling finish.

Stitches To Stones have created their very own patterns from images that have been legally licensed. Our designs will provide you with many hours of fun and relaxation as they are all large projects. The larger the design canvas, the more detail in the final product. All of the designs are full coverage which means that the whole design is made up of the rhinestones.

Do you have a favourite photo that you would like to make into a diamond painting. No problems. We also provide the service of converting your photos or image into a pattern and can provide the supplies for your custom diamond painting.
