Re: HOME

Hi @utopia,

I notice the chat button is 'offline' right now, but it will hopefully be coming online again soon if you would like to keep an eye on it and think chatting with someone from the help centre would be supportive.

Take care,

Tortoiseshell

Re: HOME

There is only one thing that has occurred to me that might help. I know it might not be possible to do this with how you are feeling now, @utopia. But here goes anyway...

It's an exercise my psychologist gave me. It helps me at times when I am feeling particularly down on myself. It goes like this:

  • put hand over heart with gentle touch
  • say out loud 'I forgive you'
  • avoid questioning it
  • once done, let it go

Re: HOME

She's beautiful. Thanks @Zoe7.

Started feeling better yesterday afternoon. Accepted it's all my self talk taking over. So told it to p.. off.

After an hours sleep went and picked my mum up from hospital and took her home.

Put her washing on. Unpacked her clothes. Etc etc. Stayed for 2 hours. Til my son turned up. He'll stay with mum for a few nights and make sure she's o.k.. But he refused to speak to me. Ouch. Thought I'd buy some bourbon cans to numb myself, but decided no.

Did my shopping. Driving home police pulled me over. Out she gets with the breathaliser. Super glad I'm not drinking. But she tells me my regional is cancelled. From December last year. Can't believe it. But I can, coz I'm forgetful. Think I've paid things when I haven't. Don't think I've paid, so double pay a bill.

Anyway, they let me drive home. Only one street away. Then they took my number plates off the car and explained the fine etc.

Have to get a roadworthy certificate. Approx $150. Pay regional approx. $360. And pay the fine $806 - ouch ouch ouch.

So feeling flat. Going to eat some chocolate and go to sleep.

Re: HOME

Oh ouch is right @utopia that completely sucks - I nearly forgot my rego a couple of years ago - it was so much easier when the sticker was on the car and you knew when it came up. If I don't pay it straight away I forget too. ...but what a huge cost for you to have to deal with - I would be a mess - so you are doing really well with it - and chocolate and sleep fixes everything right!!

Glad you are feeling a little better and so proud of you for avoiding getting those cans - that must have been tough to resist Smiley Surprised

Re: HOME

Hi @utopia - just did a quick read of this thread and see that you have had more than your fair share of troubles lately. Seems that they are raining down on you. Really hope that things get better for you.

Can you head up to that mountain again soon?
