Re: Taking the plunge

Dearest @Maggie and waves to everyone else here. 😃

Hospital? Oh dear, I am so sorry to hear that. Who is taking care of little Maggie-Mae? I feel sure your 'angel in blue jeans" would have organised something for her. I think your house move was due to happen over the weekend. Has it all happened yet, or perhaps delayed due to your hospitalisation.

Maggie, I havent been around much lately, but I have still been following your thread, along with everyone else here. Clearly you are much loved and respected by all of us, and far from invisible.

Please allow the experts to provide the care you need right now. And know we are all cheering you on, and urging you  towards recovery asap.

Much love to you Maggie. 💓

Sherry

Re: Taking the plunge

Dear @Maggie It is so good to hear from you despite it still being such a tough time for you. It is clear however how much support you have here and that is not only because we care about you but because of the person you are. You are kind and caring and it is heatbreaking to hear you are still struggling so much Hon. I wish with all my heart that I could take some of that pain away for you but as I can't all I can do is let you know you are thought of and cared for so much. Hugs and love @Maggie 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

@Faith-and-Hope@Appleblossom@Zoe7@Former-Member@outlander @CheerBearWe are somewhere, but not quite "home". Mags is here, my bed is made and we are heading for big cuddles. Boxes and mess, new people, lots to find out. Heading for a coffee first

Re: Taking the plunge

Hi @Maggie. So good to hear you're back 'home' with little Mags at last. I can imagine how happy you both would have been to be reunited.

Enjoy that coffee, have a rest, take a few deep breaths, and enjoy some time with Mags. The boxes can wait. So too can the assimilation to your new surrounds and fellow residents. Try not to push yourself too hard too soon.

Love the pic too. Cute little doggie. Wrong colour for Mags though. 😉

Here if you wish to talk later.

Sherry. 💕💕

Re: Taking the plunge

Good morning dear @Maggie and Mags, plus a wave to @Zoe7 @outlander @Faith-and-Hope @Appleblossom etc.

So you've now spent your first night at your new (not quite) home. How was it, and do you feel safe there?  I hope your 'angel in blue jeans' is keeping an eye out for you.  Although I'm pretty sure she would be. She really does sound like a major asset to have in your corner.  Is little Mags settled now that she has you back again?  I expect she will just be happy to have you back, and not overly concerned where that is, so long as you are there with her.  I hope you managed to get some restful sleep overnight, the pair of you.  I suppose the new medications will take some time to settle into, but here's hoping this is a successful changeover for you.

Perhaps today you will meet some of the other people in your new accommodation area.  I think you have shared facilities for some things, so I guess you will need to get out a bit. What about meals, are you able to prepare quick and simple meals for yourself in your unit, or do you need to go to some sort of community kitchen?  You mentioned that you hope to have a pot garden, which indicates to me that you must have a balcony or something which you can utilise for that purpose.  And what about toileting for Maggie, do you have a back yard or somewhere safe that you can let her out for a quick run any time?  Do you get any morning sunshine into your unit?

This is all going to take some time to get used to I guess.  Change is never easy, even at the best of times. But overall, this could be a very good change for you.  So keep an open mind on it, and try to make the most of it.  Who knows ... you may even get to like it there! Heart

Please dont feel obliged to respond Maggie, I just wanted you to know I was thinking of you. Which I am.

Here are a few housewarming gifts for you.

Re: Taking the plunge

Good morning @Former-Member. One thing I have noticed is safety. Gates are locked at 7pm and if we are out we have a code to get in. The sun is streaming into my bedroom atm @Former-Member sliding doors wide open for fresh air. You know how much I love fresh air. A mid day meal is served daily, even washing up done, wow, how good is that. That will be a challenge for me, but, I'm getting reading for my first meal and gathering of the natives.

There is a small balcony where Mags can do her business, plus plenty of garden areas to walk around once we sum up some courage. Some four legged neighbours have already been walked this morning.

Laundry is a shared facility, but I'll get to that when I'm ready. I have my cross stitches up, that's always a home feel for me. Empty boxes outside already.

Mags is apprehensive, which is to be expected. There's a large mirror in the bedroom, floor length, she thinks there's another dog here. Lol. If she doesn't adjust to that I can cover the bottom, it's all new.

I ran out of water with my shower this morning, I will have to take shorter ones, cold water isn't a good idea this time of year. Lots to learn.

Yes the new meds are hard to adjust to. I'm hoping for a lot of pain relief once they finally kick in, the depression is another matter, it's a complicated one.

You put a huge smile on my face with your message and welcome home gifts. Thankyou. A friendly face was a warm feeling.

How are you doing????? I really would like to know. Does hubby have apps today??? Have you heard from your psych and a scheduled app for you. I know how much she means to you. Just like my angel in blue jeans.

I'm about to head over for lunch, and a meet and greet!!!!!!

Lots of these for you.💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
