Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

today i planted my first lot of seeds in the garden ready for spring, i have never grown plants from seeds, and i am excited to see if i have a green thumb Smiley Happy  hard work but i am sure the results will be worth it.

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

Hey Jacques,

What seeds did you plant? I have been having fun getting the garden ready for Spring too, though I pretty much always opt for seedlings rather than seeds. My thumb is NOT green and any garden success I have is by dint of numbers rather than skill 🙂

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

i have planted porchalacas (pigs face) and maragolds, this is my first time wit hseeds too, i usually buy seedlings too, but it would have been too expensive to buy so many as the area i need to do is 40m  i planted i think red robin shrubs last year and they have taken off, so i am excited to see how i have done this time.

thanks @chookmojo for taking an interest.  what have you got planed for the garden? i would love to hear.

Take Care

Jacques

Good on you @Jacques for giving it a go. Any sign of life yet from the seeds? I love pig faces so here's one now

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

Whoops! not having a good IT day...so all of that chatter from me was to say, thanks to everyone...I've:

- bought some seedlings (more veggies)

- taking pooch to the beach with kids later

- and have combined that with some good ol' fish n chips for dinner from a place that sells great coffee too.

Thank you!!

What's everyone else up to today??

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

Love the path idea!...unfrotunately pigs face not mine Smiley Sad..that sounds a bit weird but you know what I mean Smiley Happy

That timeline makes sense, my impatience talking... I do think it's great to get our hands dirty and good for our souls too....whether its in a garden or a pot on the balcony or inside...You sound busy and productive @Jacques

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

I am going to do clean up jobs today and a bit of music. I had planned to go to concert but son had me cancel it for his need to get driven to busking but then cancelled that saying he was too tired. I know it is true .. but it is frustrating and I feel jerked around a bit .. but I am using this as a growing up lesson .. for him .. that I am available but he needs to plan and that my availability will steadily decrease as I need to get my own life. Yesterday I also told ex husband "no" to taking on his cat for 3 months. He persisted starting to enquire about my son's responsibility and ability to connect to animals. It was just more smart BS. I told him clearly not to put it on my son as my son likes cat but did not to take it on for so long and it would affect the level of conflict with our own cats.. There has been a 30 year history of blame games with this man. He likes the 'rights and responsibilities' lingo when it suits him .. but is very slippery. At least my son and I are trying to isolate issues and triggers and work through them constructively .. the reason my son is so tired so often is that he has to sift through too much of that history which started before he was even born. So I stand up for him. We are all connected but I am accepting of and learning to limit my connection with my son .. but his old man can do some growing up and stop manipulating us. Men can be manipulative too.
