Easter Monday Hangout Space - All welcome!

Hello forum friends!

As this long weekend draws to a close lets gather round and share some choccies we may have gotten, maybe have warm drink as the weather starts to cool a little bit in some parts of the country and have chat.

I'll be having a Ferrero Rocher and a cup of tea and I'm wondering:

What has been one bright spot (big or small) in your day so far?

What is the week ahead looking like for you?

I'll go first: One bright spot for me so far is my snuggly little cat Momo showering me with love and purrs.

My week ahead is looking like it will be little busy, I've had a last minute ask if I can cat-sit for my brother so I'll be dividing my time between my place and his, but it's always nice to get a bit of a change of scenery

Re: Easter Monday Hangout Space - All welcome!

@Ru-bee one bright spot for me is receiving kind and encouraging words from people on the forums.

My week ahead doesn't have any plans so I think I'm just going to be resting and doing some colouring while listening to music. I do have to go to the shops when they are open again but that's not a today problem.

Re: Easter Monday Hangout Space - All welcome!

@Ru-bee Hi,

One bright spot for me is that I got out for a walk this morning with my dog, Luna. We have just moved to the area a week and a half ago and I have been struggling a little, but, it felt lovely to be able to move some energy and to get some sun.

My week is looking...I don't know yet. I desperately need some down time, but I'm having a hard time with feeling comfortable doing nothing. Sitting and reading was my plan today and instead I've cleaned the kitchen, cleaned the laundry, did some jobs outside and went for a walk. Lol.

My end of the week is looking busier than the start of my week. Thursday I'm having a reiki treatment and coffee with a friend. Friday morning I'm meeting another friend for coffee, Sunday my aunt turns 70 and we have a big family gathering in celebration. Then it's back to the grindstone on Monday.

Re: Easter Monday Hangout Space - All welcome!

..sorry @Ru-bee  I dont get people who eat chocloate with tea lol, like to me cabbage goes with pork not chicken etc or choc w coffee or followed by water lol

  • bright spot ? sleeping in after put quilt on bed (was too cold before)choc today ? after literally nearly popping buttons off a shirt I was going to wear to
  • job interview wednes, have my snacks bought yest hidden(hopefully until after interview) lol

have another couple shirts that are fit for purpose and way better fitting although they all claim to be same size ..

Re: Easter Monday Hangout Space - All welcome!

I love the campfire vibes here @Ru-bee

What has been one bright spot (big or small) in your day so far?

This morning I took my family for a walk on country nearby

We have this beautiful spot I like to take them off the beaten track with a really special an ocean view at the end and then you can walk down and across to a path for beach access

We like to look for pipis (mini shellfish)

 and watch them bury themselves

It was the first time my youngest kid has been old enough to join in the fun looking for the shellfish last time we went she just snoozed

What is the week ahead looking like for you?

I am lucky that I work Mondays so I have today off then two days of work and then we are off on a family holiday with our (borrowed) caravan so today we are just going through it after this weekends adventure and getting it ready for the next one

I think next weekend we will take the fishing rods

I am enjoying deciding what we will do and take for entertainment also I like cooking so crafting up some fun recipes ready for that

Re: Easter Monday Hangout Space - All welcome!

Also I am bringing hot cross buns to the campfire here @Ru-bee
the other night we actually toasted them on the fire and it was delicious

Re: Easter Monday Hangout Space - All welcome!

Yes I'll need to get to the shops too once they open again @Dreamy But thats a task for another day!

@MissinTooth Sounds like you do have a busy back half of the week coming up! Hopefully you get some moments to rest before getting back to work

@TAB haha you know what, I seem to agree with you because I changed my mind and decided on having another coffee instead. Good luck with your job interview!

@ArraDreaming How'd the caravan test with the kids go?? Sounds like it was successful if you're taking it away again this weekend? Hot cross buns toasted on the campfire sounds so good 😋

Re: Easter Monday Hangout Space - All welcome!

Re: Easter Monday Hangout Space - All welcome!

@Ru-bee I'm about to attempt something crazy. I'm about to try to clean out my pantry. This may become a retrieval mission 😂.
