You've had quite a bird family @Shaz51 I imagine it would have been quite oisy having a glaha around!
I don't think I'm familiar with Willy Wagtail birds @Adge . I've probably seen them before but just can't call them to mind. Some birds are really weary of humans.
Peacocks are so spectacular @Former-Member! Do you have a favourite bird?

Blue Wren have ALWAYS been my favourite @Former-Member Thanks for asking. I'm feeling a bit lost on the forums atm. Kinda need help but don't know how to ask or what I need, silly really. Lots of uncertainty in my real world lately, guess it will pass.

I've never seen a Blue Wren before @Former-Member. The colour of their feathers are like nothing I've ever seen before on such a tiny bird. What kind of habitat do they live in?
It can feel quite isolating to have that sense loss too @Former-Member. Uncertainty has a way of leaving us feeling a bit at sea. It's ok not to have it all figured out quite yet and you're absolutely right, that it will pass in time. If there's anything you reckon @Former-Member or I can do to support you to feel more connected on the forums, please do send us an email. Take care of yourself today @Former-Member 🐦🌻

Thanks @Former-Member, maybe I'm too boring and don't 'keep up' enough. There's much going ngvon IRL atm.
Wrens seem to like thick shrubs, away from predictor birds I guess, There's lots online, can't believe you haven't seen these birds, are you in the outback or cement jungle maybe?
Wiki says "wrens are found in wooded areas, generally with plenty of undergrowth, and has also adapted to urban existence and can be found in gardens, backyards and urban parks as long as there is an undergrowth of native plants nearby. Lantana bush, a prolific weed in Australia, has also been beneficial in providing shelter in disturbed areas"

It can feel that way sometimes when we're not feeling so connected @Former-Member. You're making the right choice to prioritise IRL stuff for now. Please know that this is a space for you to dip in and out of in a way that works for you. It's great to see you around when you're here, and we completely understand when you need to take a step back too (that's part of good self care).
Now, getting back to the magnificant Blue Wren...
I must admit to being in a bit of a concrete jungle. I need to get out into the bush again to remind myself of how glorious our environment really is. Loved this photo from the link you sent too...
One of my favourite birds is a Robin. I used to love seeing them around on the snowy days when I was in Ireland many years ago.

Beautiful images @Former-Member, the snow one looks like a Christmas Card. Were you visiting Ireland or grew up there? Little birds are gorgeous.
Mum has wild birds here she fed every arvo - gray doves and rainbow lorekeets. Lovely activity.
I'm so tired today, just wanna go into a coma for a month, hope its temporary.

Love that photo @Former-Member It's quite incredible to see the richness of colour in nature.
Yes, I grew up in Ireland and moved to Australia many years ago now. I love living in Australia however I do sometimes miss the seeing the robins in the snow ☘️
Sorry to hear that things are feeling so exhausting for you right now too 🌻 That's such a hard space to be in. I do hope you get a good bit of rest over the weekend @Former-Member. If the tiredness continues, it might be worth checking in with a GP. And you can always call services like Lifeline 13 11 14 to talk more about things if you need too 🐼
Look after yourself @Former-Member and I hope you have some bird sightings over the weekend - I know I'll be really attuned to birdlife for the next few days now. Nice to talk to you today and thanks for sharing your bird wisdom with me 🦉

Wow that Robin picture is gorgeous @Former-Member
My finches are good, thanks for asking - all 60 or so of them.
Bengalese, Zebras, Javas, Orange-Breasts, Goldfinches, & my 2 Red-Faced Parrot-Finches.
Plus 3 Cockatiels, 14 Canaries, 2 Bourke Parrots, 2 Barbary Doves, & an ever increasing number of Budgies.
The Budgies are very happy, that's why there are more & more of them...
