Adge @Adge, I DID IT!!! Going stir crazy here so prioritised the budget for birds, and I love em ☺🐦💕🐦 Got 2Bourkes & 4Finches. They didn't have any Bang... Finches so just got zebras. Sound amazing, so love their jappy sounds. The male Bourke pesters the finches occasionally so hope he settles. Get some close ups for you tomorrow, exhausted atm.
Just had to tell you. ❤🌷🌿🐦

Nice one @Former-Member Zebra finches make a funny beep beep kind of sound, they're lovely.
I don't want to worry you, but most parrots don't go well with finches (they can hurt them, even though unintentionally).
Bourke parrots are very gentle, & very quiet for a parrot. So they might be fine with the zebras. Watching them together sounds like a good idea.
Yes Bengalese (also called Society finches) a bit hard to find, only the large bird shops seem to sell them. Even though they are cheap, they cost not much more than zebras.
Good luck! Those birds might brighten up your house (& day), especially if you like them.

Hi @Maggie, yes, us bird folk can be somewhat upsidedown. Glad to have you join us here. Hard to find this thread. Do you have birds?
@Adge sorry it took me a while to answer your last post, thought I did, my bad? Yes, they have brightened up my house / day a fair bit, especially their different noises. I grabbed 4 different finches that seem to behave differently, and I love that little beepbeep The male bourke is more inquisitive, interactive and chatty which is nice. Appreciate having you here 🎶🐦🌿

@Former-Member I have had cockatiels in the past. One was always on my shoulder while I was inside. He even showered with me, slept on my pillow and had the best wolf whistle you've ever heard. He's gone now but never forgotten. He would swoop down a grab my cross stitch needle and fly off with it, he was a real character. I did get another but he flew out the door one day, heartbreaking. You sound like you are enjoying your new family.

@Former-MemberYour Zebras & Bourke parrots look lovely. Lovely bright pictures.
I have 2 Cockatiels, they're lovely & very inquisitive - they call them Weeros, here in WA.
People here often don't know what you mean when you say Cockatiel. Which is strange, because they're called Cockatiels most often in the rest of the country (other states).
