Re: Good Morning!

Back from my saltwater float. It was interesting to say the least. Probably should have scheduled it for an afternoon or evening rather than a Sunday morning as it took a while for me to relax. They put a whole heap of Epson salt in there that keeps you buoyant and doesn't allow you to sink. Nonetheless, it took a while to get used to the idea that I wasn't going to drown. The water is nice and warm and you have the option of listening to music all the way through, just at the beginning and end or either of those or not at all.

The tank is in a great big beautiful bathroom so you can shower afterwards with lots of lovely smelling toiletries and fluffy white towels. There were pools but I chose the tank which closed up for complete sensory deprivation. It was pitch black and noiseless. There is a light that you can have on if you wish and you can also slide open the hatch if you are feeling clausophobic.

Once I acclimatised , it was very relaxing, no pressure on any part of your body. You really do feel at one with the water. The temperature matches that of your body. It is something, I would like to do again. It's actually been around for something like 60 years and had a list of benefits as long as your arm.

I can highly recommend giving it a go if you have the opportunity.
