@Appleblossom you are always sweet as a Fuji.
A question to y'all, how do you get a support worker? I sometimes wonder if having some form of support might be of benefit to me.
As I found out this weekend none of my friends even reached out to see how I was going with Saturday being a significant day that seriously affected my MH. I actually told my brother that I got more support on the Sane forum from "strangers" than I did people who've known me several years.
Do I have to go through NDIS, and if so, how do I get into the NDIS system? Being unemployed is demoralising and the addition of being self conscious about how I look with my front teeth missing I am worried that I will never find work again and that would be even more demoralising.
Kiitos
(thanks)

In grouched or ungrouched? Crabby, shitty, grumpy or frumpy?
Smelling pretty might lift the mood.
I thought I was more likely to be good in the wood, so love going bush, than good in the hood….but slowly feeling a sense of belonging here and in real life.
@Cuddlebear it has been a slow day but I enjoyed being on the forum and had couple good chats to neighbours.
@ENKELI It can be a challenge getting it, and making it work. I didn’t try to get NDIS, but was rolled over into it cos I was with NEAMI. It can be difficult cos often treated like a fifth class citizen. My son had it, but gave it away, twice. They just don’t know how, or want to work with him, so he prefers to go without. So now they have to put up with mama bear. Honestly they can be rude and controlling. My support co-ordinator, asked if I had just woken up, when I answered phone in a warm friendly manner. My son has suffered a lot of gaslighting from them and now I realise what it is like. I have decided to use my plan to the best of my ability, as honestly, the state has not done that well by my family and caused me a lot of extra unnecessary trauma. I am very grateful for all good workers whatever their training and role and they know it. Interestingly, my new OT, found that support co-ordinator a bit bossy, and then she confirmed it. So I will move on from that company. I was so vulnerable, when I began but toughening up now. It’s good when it works.

@Appleblossom thanks so much for your honesty. It certainly gives you pause. Being Federal it's not likely to be much different state to state either.
I'll see how my service provider goes tomorrow and take it from there for now.
