Night Shift

Re: Night Shift

time for nap-nap

Re: Night Shift

Hi all. Hoping the day and evening are treating you as well as possible.

@eth, so glad you have enjoyed the day, despite the doctor part of it (though that might have been simply helpful on another day). I'm hoping you are still out enjoying yourself now.

As you requested, @Faith-and-Hope, I am tagging @Kurra to ask if she'd like me to walk her through the process of uploading a new avatar image. Should mention that I only know how to do it from a desktop or laptop computer, not a mobile. Let me know if it's useful to you if I write out the steps, @Kurra.

@PeppiPatty, glad to see you after a little while and hear that you are seeing your psychotherapist very soon. Your busy days remind me of what an amazon you are too.

@Decadian, hope you were able to get onto the plumber today. My throat is not tonsillitus but something mysterious about which I've got an appointment with a specialist in about 7 weeks (earliest I could get in). Meantime I'm sucking lozenges, drinking lemon and honey, and soothing herbal tea. It comes and goes throughout the day and bothers with me with coughing at night in bed sometimes. I'm trying not to worry too much about it until I know what it is I've got to worry about.

@Shaz51, hugs for what's happening with hubby.

@Former-Member, hope you are feeling a bit better today. Let us know how you are travelling.

@BlueBay, did your recent health crisis in the night resolve itself okay?

Hi @Former-Member, @Appleblossom@Jacques@Silenus.  Sending good vibes to everyone I haven't tagged too. Smiley Very Happy

Re: Night Shift

Nigh-night @plasmo

Have a good rest.

Re: Night Shift

@Mazarita
I'll have to fire up my lappie which I haven't done for a long time. If you could write out the steps for me it would save me having to strain my brain!
Many thanks.

Re: Night Shift

Hello all

I seem to be flat out doing nothing at the moment.  Just drove son busking, did food shopping and dinner.

A bit tired, but ok.

I read about the funding cut for the Eating Disorder helpline ... sad that such effective strategies only get partial govt support.

Yes I missed you Peppi but I also know you do drop out for a week here and there to get a few things done sometimes.  Wise approach.

I am just enjoying reading but not posting much.

Cheers Apple

Re: Night Shift

Hi everyone
Pain subsided last night but started again today. Went to chemist to get some tablets for pain. I googled (I know I shouldn't ) but I think it may be my pancreas. Also I suffer from fructose malabsorption so it could have been something I ate. I will go back to my GP when I'm back from holidays.

Re: Night Shift

Hi everybody 🌷

Here's thought for the day:

"The easiest way to find something lost around the house is to buy a replacement."

😊

A beautiful friend sent me a few of those, and the blessing I posted earlier, to cheer me up.

I needed that today.  My daughter had a lousy day at school and took pieces out of me on the way home in the car, resentful and over-tired after her sleepless night last night.  The school counsellor is saying she might need to speak to a psychologist to help her get a bit sorted out.  She has battled injuries and stress related illness for a while now, and while she has managed, it's reached a point where it's overwhelming her again.  It's probably just as well if she does.  I can't carry everyone and everything on my own.  Now that our GP and the school counsellor are talking to each other, I don't have to.  Help is arriving at long last.

Re: Night Shift

Hi @Kurra. I'm on a PC so the steps may vary a bit if you are on Mac.

First step is for @Faith-and-Hope to repost the image. I've looked back over the pages but can't find it. Then, when that appears, this is what you do:

  1. Download the image to your own computer by 'right-clicking' on the image with your mouse and selecting 'save image as'. Give it a name and save it to a place where you can find it again on your computer ('desktop' is sometimes easiest).
  2. From anywhere on the SANE forum, click on your name in bold that appears below the top right of the screen. That will take you to your 'About Kurra' page.
  3. Click on your current avatar image in the top left of that screen.
  4. Select 'choose another profile picture'.
  5. Select the tab 'From my computer'. Then hit 'browse' to find the image you downloaded.
  6. Select the image and wait a bit - it takes a little while to load to that same screen. Hit 'save'.
  7. Then follow the prompts about 'cropping' through to the end and hey presto it should be done.

Takes a little while for uploaded images to be 'moderated' for others to see them, but you should be able to see it straight way. Let me know if you have any problems along the way.
