Sunday night chat 8pm

Re: Sunday night chat 8pm

Sounds perfect @Shaz51 except for the crocs in waterholes!!

Re: Sunday night chat 8pm

@Blackcloud , I have complicated feelings about my parents. They're usually safe, but in the past they haven't always been so. They gaslight me about the bad memories I have, blaming them on my past psychotic episode. It's been so invalidating.

They're also quite traditional and don't see why I should move out before getting married.

My Dad became redundant a year ago and wants me around to give his life meaning. I think he's bipolar-depressed, and he has no motivation to plan social interaction into his day. He says to me "without you, I have no life". It's an unnecessary burden that me puts on me.

Don't you have the water in your backyard @ArraDreaming ???

@Till23 - WOW, that's so so amazing! I really want to learn more about First Nations culture.

@Spirit_Healer - yes, I think that's the best way. Have you own abode, but spend some time with your family when you need it, and if you need space, then go home. Once you go back to work, you probably won't spend as much time with your parents. At least you can say you have 'walked out' from your parents. I'm mindful that your dad was feeling very bad about you living away from home.

As for the volunteering, hope it goes well for you.

Re: Sunday night chat 8pm

We have been up north to visit family in that area and swim in fresh water swimming holes just be croc aware and also don’t go into systems connected to big rivers like the Barron and your sweet @Till23

Re: Sunday night chat 8pm

Yeah @ArraDreaming despite being saltwater, I also love red dirt country and have been lucky to have lived in "outback" NSW  for a couple of years

Re: Sunday night chat 8pm

Yeah we do we have a creek literally in our yard and we can hear the ocean from here… I just mean my culture
Not linked to many big water systems @tyme

Re: Sunday night chat 8pm
