Re: The Community Garden :)

Thanks. 🙂

I imagine it will be much larger than it's mother which stands in our neighbor's yard.  She the tree is about 15 feet tall maybe 20 feet tall. 😄

Re: The Community Garden :)

@CheerBear Thanks for the lovely compliment.  Yes we have an extremely large yard even if you don't count the neighbors yard who we bought our home from which we take care of and has roses and a lilic bush and a mulberry tree.  🙂  Mulberry's are delicious.  The best part or one of the best parts of all of that is that the yard our yard is well the backyard is completely fenced in so the dogs can roam around it anytime they like to and also chase birds and cats though the cats have learned to stay out of the yard now lol but that to me is very important,  I cannot handle seeing dogs on chains outside year round but the dogs being able to run around is important too!  🙂  Keep on the sunny side of life~

Re: The Community Garden :)

@frog  That looks like a pine tree.  Good luck!  🙂

If anyone is planning a visit to the nation's capital from 30 June to 29 July there is a 'Warm Trees' installation at the National Arboretum - knitted flora and fauna of NZ.

Re: The Community Garden :)

Love your giant trees @frog

Your yard sounds fabulous @PatchouliRose. Love lilacs 😊 There were some Magpies warbling this morning in the drizzle as the sun was coming up. I'm thinking you wouldn't have Magpies around your place maybe? They have such a great song. Great that you have space for your dogs to run around.

Big hugs for you @Shaz51

Re: The Community Garden :)

@CheerBear  I don't think that we do have magpies.  We are very near three bird migratory spots. So we have a ton of birds come through every year.  Ground thrushes are nice.  A friend recently spotted a pair of humming birds in her yard. We had yellow billed black birds in our neighborhood.  There were thousands of them. Peace out.  Gotta take Frida out!

Re: The Community Garden :)

Mulberry's are delicious @PatchouliRose, we had a mulberry tree and my dog Tara used to go and eat them on the ground and she would have a big mulberry smile , she loved avacado , she would break them open and eat them Smiley Happy

Hello @CheerBear, @Former-Member, @Maggie, @frog, wonderful memories Heart

Re: The Community Garden :)

@Shaz51 There was a mulberry tree in our yard when I was a kid and my dad, brother and i would put a white sheet under it and shake the limbs until as many berries fell of as we needed to eat that day.  Mmm.  Mulberries.  I should go check on our tree.  I'll put that on my to do list! 🙂
