Re: Anyone want to chat

@Ru-bee It's not like I have over a hundred build a bears or over 400 beanie kids, or a tonne of socks and I certainly don't have lots of colouring books. And just certainly don't have one 300 sets of lego and i don't have over 100 jigsaw puzzles. Nope I don't have any collections of things at all 😂

Re: Anyone want to chat

Hahaha, I love it @Former-Member @avant-garde

This is making me realise I don't really have any collections... I was very nearly starting a little collection of squishmallows but I stopped myself at 2 and now I just constantly buy them for my nieces to the annoyance of my sister (oops they're just so cute and squishy!)

Re: Anyone want to chat

Re: Anyone want to chat

@Ru-bee i won't have my collections for much longer, I've got no choice but to sell or give everything away. Won't be able to keep things when I'm homeless 😞.

Re: Anyone want to chat

@Former-Memberi have a storage unit, it helped when I was homeless I found one for 92 a month

Re: Anyone want to chat

@avant-garde i won't even be able afford anything. Once I lose the house I lose any government income cos of not having a fixed address.

Re: Anyone want to chat

@Former-Member no.

There are things you can do.

  1. Homelessness agencies let you put down their address so you get government payments
  2. Centrelink have social workers that can help you
  3. There is a nationwide program called Street to home that is made for people like you and me
  4. They help with everything

  • I got on the government housing priority list
  • I emailed every agency on that list and asked for help
  • Someone answered
  • I have a case manager and they run programs for people like us
  • I was in an apartment within 2 weeks of meeting her

All is not lost gremmy, you just need to keep going.

Re: Anyone want to chat

Thanks @avant-garde . I've rang everyone possible and those that I've spoken to haven't been able to help and I'm still waiting to hear back from some.

I'm exhausted and I really have given up hope that anyone can help right now.
