Carers Hints and tips to Success

Re: Carers Hints and tips to Success

@Shaz51 said in another thread "..encouraging to a point to show that you love them but not going over the line of pestering which can be hard at times."

There is also "expressed emotion" which negatively impacts the ones we love.

Family psych education is shown to help caregivers and family cope better and reduce relapse rates.

Re: Carers Hints and tips to Success

Thanks @Former-Member, I think family Psychoeducation is good. My siblings and I really need too reduce our expressed emotion! It's so hard to put into practice even when one is informed..... When the buttons get pushed.... Sonething inside just lets the emotions out!

Re: Carers Hints and tips to Success

The little bit of carer education I have had has been so beneficial @Susana

Re: Carers Hints and tips to Success

Thanks @outlander,

So many good suggestions, but don't even know where to start though... Feeling very lethargic and wornout. Hard to conjure up the energy to do anything ....am I beyond repair...? Feeling like a soldier who is too tired to fight
