Helping a loved one who doesn't want help

Re: Helping a loved one who doesn't want help

Oh @Shaz51 Heart

Rejection really hurts, especially from a parent.

That's not fair....

Re: Helping a loved one who doesn't want help

@Adge, if he saw me walking , he would jump into the closest shop

soo many of his friends were soo angry with him , this went on until i was 43

and it is not nice for you @Adge as it portrays your dad as not a nice person -- I do not know what your relationship was between your dad and you xxx

Re: Helping a loved one who doesn't want help

I always wanted to be a parent @Shaz51

If I had children, I would bend over backwards to have a relationship with them - especially as they grow up.

I never got to have children.

That's what I would expect any Dad would (should) want to do.

That must have been very hard for you (horrible).

My relationship with my Dad improved & became really good (much better) in the last year or so before he died - then he passed away (March 2016).

Dad scared us when we were children - he seemed angry all the time.

But when I told Dad (as a kid) about bad stuff that had happened to me - Dad's response was far more caring than my Mum's.

Dad died 5 days after my Birthday - so my Birthday is a sad time (now).

I remember that @Adge Heart

I could never have children myself due to my rubella syndrome which I was born with

Mum is starting to reminds me that she would of love being a grandma now and then

I looked after children for 25 years and have 4 step children but it is not the same
