Yep .... just posted back on the other thread @Former-Member 😊

Cream-of-clean-out-the-fridge-soup on the menu over here today ....

Think I will find some fancy bowls to serve it in, and raid the garden for some sprigs of thyme to make it look more like this picture I have found ....

hubby feels soooo tired after doing  only a few hours of work

Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

Hubby is probably still fatigued from his recent illness @Shaz51 ....

i hope you enjoy the birthday celebration 🌷

Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

I make chicken broth a bit. What are you adding to it? Chicken soup (bone broth) is very good for you, something to do with the nutrient in the marrow.
My recipe is: one whole raw chicken, one onion, finely chopped, one carrot finely grated, salt and pepper - peppercorns are excellent, cover with water until the chiken is cooked. You can take out the chicken then, and use it for anything else - hubby prefers to put it in a pan and brown it up, so it becomes roast chicken. He also adds a packet of chicken noodle soup, but it's not totally necessary. You could also add some mixed herbs to improve the flavour. I add chilli to the soup sometimes too for a bit of extra boot. This is what we tend to make when one of us is coming down with a cold.

Soups are what we're living on just now. Even though we're in Qld, I'm suffering from the cold nights and mornings.

Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

Here's another one for you, and it might appeal with your bone marrow recipe @Former-Member ....

Beat eggs until fluffy - the best outcome is by separating the eggs and whipping the whites more than the yolks - then add lemon juice to taste - best to start with one lemon as you can add lemon juice in later if you want to up the flavour - then add it in increments to the slightly cooled soup so it doesn't curdle.   A pinch of Oregano or Marjoram goes down well with it, and it's very good for colds.
