Re: A long rave

Hi @eth, very tired this morning but enjoying being awake anyway. How are you today?

Re: A long rave

Pretty good thanks @Mazarita.  Only a few hours sleep again but I've been doing some stuff this morning that gets me fully inspired.  I'll be seeking more sleep before too long also, but not now.  Have domestic and garden chores to catch up on today and 1 more story to write today for the writing course, but I made good progress with it yesterday.

What do you have planned for today?

Re: A long rave

@eth, recovery day here today. No plans. Six days straight of getting out of the flat every day, extra long walks, increased social interraction. All good but need replenishing today without a framework. I'll tell you what I've got up to later, possibly some video. I have been slowly and steadily moving two projects forward over recent days too. Still a way to go yet. These ones I making more slowly than I usually do. Trying to go with the flow of that. Smiley Happy

Re: A long rave

It's really good that you are listening to your inner voice telling you to have a time out @Mazarita.  I will have mine tomorrow.  But a little this morning too.

Re: A long rave

@eth, I may even get out on the beach again at some point. Depends if I sleep through low tide, lol. I try to mainly go then because it's easier on my feet to walk at that time. Sometimes near high tide I really just can't walk there at all. What we're talking about with our creative projects reminds me of an idea I came across once that it's also necessary to 'do nothing' as part of the process. I like that idea and relate to it.

Re: A long rave

I totally agree @Mazarita.  I also believe it's important to ground ourselved before and after a creative spurt.  And then step away for a bit before the next spurt.  I'm getting better at practicing this.  Heading outdoors to check out the birds now.  Kookaburras this morning, they don't visit here too often.  Will catch you later after we've both had some time out.  Take care 🙂

Hope you all {and anybody reading through} are happy and healthy today 🙂 I think often of my forum friends while I'm away and soon after, when my brain allows me to think again after my return 😄

It's such a long trip to the center of my Universe . . . and it's soooooo 'full-on' there!!! My Childs partner was fired and hired in one day! The company they were working for collapsed but the owner organized for another buisness to take them on . . . . as far as I know - like nothing really changes much, but the name on the pay-slip; and although still a shock I'm sure, that's a pretty seemless income transaction 🙂 But my child also discovered payments to a loan the partner had taken out that they weren't aware of . . . which is all part of the whirlwind that is the 'Center of my Universe'. The youngest grandbaby is going through all the 'day-care' bugs, including but not only the micro-organic ones that give them a runny nose and probably the likes of a sore throat and/or a headache -  they also like to be very, very loud; often in a sort of angry scream {a bit like some of the 'music' they listen to}; and they can be quite loud, the goal being to be the loudest amoungst 4 siblings, your Parents, Grandparents and the Nanny that turns up on a regular basis as well 😄 He also uses another tactic; he throws a large solid toy to the ground with all his might . . . and it makes a really loud bang . . . and tends to 'get peoples attention' (OO)  The 2nd youngest is going through a sort of protest, I think, about being the 2nd youngest 😉 They're able to 'get themselves ready' for school, but they always tell me there's some task that my Child has to do {like put up thier hair, or pack up thier lunch, school bag ect.}. But considering the first mornings 'school drop off' was a hetic, cranky, 1/2 an hour late - I thought I was doing well on the 2nd morning that the 2nd youngest was dressed in thier uniform and {at least said} their lunch was ready - so I let them play a character I'd let them make on a game I've got . . . When thier Grandparents arrived to take them to school (as my Child was working the 2nd youngests Grandparents take them on a regular basis), . . . thier lunch wasn't made, they weren't as ready as they had said they were . . . and I kind of felt like the, well . . . 'bad nanny' - hadn't 'done my bit' to help get them ready. I hope I 'do my bit' in helping them understand that when I'm there they have to 'get themselves ready' and that gives them confidence in some way, because I know they can.

This is turning into a long rave 🙂 It was soooo good to sleep in my 'own bed' without the young fella taking over 1/2 of it last night 🙂 My trips away do make me appreciate the comforts of my basic little home 🙂 But they do raise the umph of my camping day-dreams:) I tried to visit a new state forest on the trip back home; I even turned back to try and find it after I'd realized I'd gone past it . . .  but it wasn't to be . . . I drove to the very spot my GPS said my destination was on the right; and although it was a spectacular view on the right, the road drop off vertically in a cliff of rainforest - there was no gate or driveway, not even a sign - . . . . but there was a spectacular view 🙂 There wasn't even anywhere I could stop and take a picture, it was one of those twisty, turny roads that slowly climb a mountain in an ever circling manner.

But here's a few pictures I did take :-

Re: A long rave

Hi Niqua, glad to see you back. Smiley Very Happy Heart

I am happy and tired today after a big week by my standards, with lots of walking, visiting, appointment keeping, sunny days, warm weather.

Thank you as always for your long raves, they are great to read. Smiley Happy

How mysterious that you couldn't find the state forest even with the gps co-ordinates. It reminds me of a musical I liked when I was a child called 'Brigadoon', about a little Scottish village that only appeared in the landscape once a year. Smiley Happy

The pics are ace too. The sore paw looks a bit nasty, hope the dog is okay. Good on you for rescuing the lizard. I sometimes rescue spiders and put them outside. I hope that's the thing to do. Smiley Tongue

Hugs and love. Heart
