we set up camp and stay all day , Mr Shaz hikes up to the top where the waterfall is , you can`t camp overnight which is a shame but it is lovely and relaxing for the day

I tried to do another picture but it is too large , will try again

Re: A long rave

I love waterfalls @Shaz51 they appeal to me. Well nature appeals to me really but i do love water falls. Theres something about them though most of the time theres leeches
Is there many leeches there?

Re: A long rave

Up in the early hours of the morning. I thought dawn had come early when I went outside for a smoke a little while ago. Then realised the brightness in the sky was from the brilliant full moon. I thought the sun was coming up and it was just the moon's reflection of it.

Wipeout day yesterday, but did a fair bit of video. I've had more sleep tonight than usual. Still tired so will head back to it again before too long. Just posting here in case @eth or anyone around feels like chatting for a little while.

Hope the night has treated everyone well so far and that most of you are still making zzzzzzzs. Smiley Happy

Re: A long rave

Gidday MazyHeart 🙂

So glad to hear you are happy 😄 Heart :D, being tired is okay considering all the walking, visiting and appointment keeping 😉 Sometimes I think being tired can even be a good thing, if good things made you that way 🙂 How's the 'emotional therapy' going? {I don't know the correct title for it} I just remember thinking it could be a rather . . . well . . . emotional process? I think I've given up on the idea of 'getting better', .. . the whole happy, balanced person just isn't me - I can be happy, but my balance is different to what our society demands.

'Brigadoon' rings a bell, I remember reading a story about a little town in England that had a semi-spherical force field arise around it (it ended up being aliens). No one could get either in or out - and it made for a good read 🙂 They run-out of everything and have to make-do with whatever they can provide from just their little area - it was like a  small scale 'end of World' thing going on:)

I did a little google on that elusive state forest I tried to find, I went as far as using satellite view - and there is no entrance as such to it, there's an educational facility, but not my cup of tea. I've researched another state forest in that area, where I can even camp with the furries {another 'place to go' on my ever expanding list of places to go :D}

That was a $300 sore toe! But luckily it doesn't seem to be sore anymore . . . and well . . . that makes it worth it - no signs of infection or heat or tenderness, and it will 'grow back' normally now. Rescuing SPIDERS . . . WOW - your a more caring soul than me!! Well, your far more courageous than me - if I don't think they're poisonous, I will just leave them alone . . . but I won't go as far as touching them !!!(oo)!!! I have given the occasional snake a quiet box to hide in, and then taken box and all out in the bush {I can't have them just hangin' around the houseyard} Saw my first centipede for the season yesterday, under a piece of wood I was collecting - Ho Hum, the bug season, time to get out the anti-H and start mowing!!! XD 😄 🙂 😉

The weather is beautiful and it does make me want to get outside more, I'd like to get out and potter in the garden a bit - to clean up and the practical reasons of bugs and other bitey creatures; and because I just feel like I want to! 🙂 I think I need to give up on 'ground gardens', the ground out here is pretty harsh, it looks like sand in many places, but it's actually a really fine clay - and that's not very good for plants. We also have a lot of trees out here that the leaves of which, when they fall to the ground and deteriorate, actually coat every tiny little grain of that soil in a water-proof resin; so even when it does rain enough that it over-comes the clay soils reaction to becoming moist and clumping together in a way that the water can't sink-in and just flows over the surface; even on the rare occasions that the volume of rain is such that it does start to seep down - each sand-grit sized grain of clay-soil is coated in water-proof resin! It meant a lot of digging and maintaining rather large garden beds, and constantly trying to maintain a pretty flimsy fence that surrounded it; and my body hasn't been up to that for a few years now really - so I think it's time to be more realistic and think more 'ground pots'; much smaller areas with much smaller fences {though the fence is mostly important for keeping my young fella out, as the freshly laid soil I plant things in is sooooooo very diggable 🙂 there are also 'local visitors' like wallabies and roos that make fencing of utmost importance! I have an idea for one at my front house gate, with 1/2 dozen car tyres stacked up, and a few strong, straight, branches with wire around the lot and the front-gate post for support - and maybe a Bougainvillea, they seem to have a 'better chance' out here 😉 And also some plain old fashioned container gardening, with the likes of good old cherry tomatoes and Snow Peas 🙂

. . . well this has turned into another 'Long Rave' 😄 I picked the right thread to put it 😉 Having raved-on about wanting to go outside, that's just what I did! 🙂 went outside and had a smoke and looked around, I've got a largish pot I picked up and put on my outdoor table - that's where I'll start . . . 😄 😄 😄

Re: A long rave

Hiya @Mazarita - how are you feeling after your early morning? Hope you got caught up on some sleep. I'm really feeling it at the moment! Also hope you enjoyed your beach walk today if you went.

Hi to you too @Former-Member 🙂 Love trying to imagine what it's like in your part of the world.

Hope you're both well this afternoon 💛

Re: A long rave

Hi @CheerBear @Former-Member, @outlander and all, internet line issues since this morning. Waiting for a callback from ISP. On mobile for now so need to keep message short as possible. Went for 3km walk today, very slowly because of fatigue. Still seem to be recovering from busy last week. Have slept on and off all day aside from walk. Thanks for callouts and messages. Hope this evening is a good one for everyone. ox

Re: A long rave

Hope you enjoyed a slower paced day @Mazarita and that your internet is sorted soon (that would do my head in!). I can see the huge moon now - this morning it was all covered in dark, thick cloud.

Very cool 🙂
