Re: Far and Away

@Faith-and-Hope @Shaz51 - Is it expensive to get one removed here? I don't go to doctors or the GP enough so am unsure. One tip the lady gave was reapplication of sun screen should be every 2 hours....not 4 hours! Did not know that!

Re: Far and Away

@Anony18

Because I have had melanoma I go to a dermatologist every year who removes the miles that we agree on.

A visit to a GP can advise, and there are special mole clinics now. Give them a call and ask the question maybe ?

Re: Far and Away

Ah fair enough. I will try to google. Google normally helps. If not will call my local GP Smiley Happy

Getting so tired....one more hour to work ends! Then tennis tonight!

Re: Far and Away

Hey @Faith-and -hope, good to see you, been distracted lately. Wish that MIL wasnt travelling with you. I hear/feel that you really miss your hubby, even with the baby dragons to distract you , its not the same, feel for you, all the 'pretense' would drain me. I had this picture in my head, a thought - what if you bought your dad along and hung out with him all the time? Haha!
You stay warm sis

Re: Far and Away

Hi @Former-Member ... 😘💕

While the MIL is complicated, she's not the real problem .... she was a real problem years ago, but we got that sorted ....

Life my Dad was along with us and I was spending all my time with him, it would suit WH down to the ground at the moment .... his eating disorder behaviour is what takes up most of his time and energy, and it is what creates the distance.  Without MIL here, he would still be ditching the kids and me for his exercise and diet patterns .... directing our day according to what fits with gym, jog, eating routines ....

Suits MIL to fit herself in with that mostly, but it is upsetting her a bit as well, not that she will let on.  She also needs looking after, so if she is travelling along with his program, she is also taking the brunt of his mood swings, along with providing an excuse for him to bale on our activities is they don't interest him or conflict with The Regimen.  Not having her here wouldn't change that .... he would just be feeling guiltier about he is doing or not doing, and it would just make him more uptight and grumpy ....

Think of MIL as a mood stabiliser for him.  She's in the relationship in a way she shouldn't be, but it's the eating disorder that caused that .... it's caused warped thinking, a self-centred self-serving outlook (that's what an e.d. does to keep feeding itself, keep itself as lthe "host's" highest priority .... like an alien creature that has taken over his mind ....

We are living and travelling with him in this alien state .... like this he is not my husband and I can't reach him ... with or without MIL or anyone else .... he needs treatment first to bring him out of that world and back into this one ....

Thank you so much for all you care @Former-Member .... 💜💐 ... walking with me while I'm walking with him ....

Hi @Shaz51 ...🌷💕

Re: Far and Away

Hi @Former-Member

Just answering you from another thread ....

Still travelling the UK at the moment for another week or so .... then off to Greece where we have family till S2 starts Uni again in Feb.

Dont worry .... I have wifi in Greece too.

😊💕

Thinking of you .... hugs 💗🐠

Re: Far and Away

Good Evening @Faith-and-Hope or morning for me. Just 2 more hours and I'll be on my way home!
All in all, it appears as if you're having a wonderful break. MIL in her own way is providing you with a modicum of respite.
It sounds as if Greece might prove a little more restful for you.
Keep on keeping on looking after you.
Much love. Hugzzz 💕 🎶

Re: Far and Away

Thanks @Kurra ... correct on both counts really .... appreciate your care.

Heading out to find something for dinner shortly ... you will probably be asleep when I get back ....

Rest well 💗💕
