Newbie's Social Club - Come make some friends!

Re: Newbie's Social Club - Come make some friends!

@Alittleorange  I'm pleased everything is going well for your son.

I'm heading in to Newcastle tomorrow so will have a nice walk along the beach with my dog. I'm looking forward to it.

I love board/card games. What's your favourite? I enjoy triominoes, monopoly deal and uno.

enjoy your walk on the beach, I envy you that.

Scrabble is a favourite of mine, and monopoly. Uno is fun and there is a card game called switch which is very much like it, otherwise love 500 and rummy.

Do you plan to stay with your dad for a while?

@Alittleorange

The beach was so beautiful today. My dog and I went for a little walk along the beach then sat on a bench with a coffee and watched the waves. The water was such a clear turquoise. It was gorgeous. Apart from being christened by a seagull all down the front of my white top it was pretty good lol.

Scrabble is a good one! So is cluedo actually. My mum and I play one too, I think it's called Sequence. It's not too bad.

Yeah I'll stay with Dad for a bit. This is my home but I bought it for him a couple of years ago.

How was your day?

Re: Newbie's Social Club - Come make some friends!

Hi,
I heard about these forums quite a while ago but never signed up. I'm looking for peer support while I try to rebuild my life & self confidence. It feels like my whole life has just been an uphill battle. I guess therapy has helped a bit but I just want things to change.. I'm starting to reconnect with friends and be kinder to myself. We're going to see a musical this weekend which I'm looking forward to.

Re: Newbie's Social Club - Come make some friends!

Welcome welcome @Cle0 !

Thank you for popping by and sharing a little about yourself.

Peer support is incredibly powerful. It played a huge part in my recovery too. I remember being offered peer support when I was in an inpatient clinic. It was so helpful to know I was not alone in my journey.

As for the musical, how exciting! I love musicals. But because I take my nieces and nephews, I generally stick to the kiddy ones. The next one we are going to is Annie 🙂

Looking forward to seeing you around!

A good christening is an auspicious occasion.

You must have earned well or won well to afford to buy your dad a house, have you had to make adjustments. I was pensioned off at 46 with mental health and other issues, and it can be difficult.

Cluedo is a classic, and you have company to play it with which is good.

My day has been very quiet, worked last night so tired and watching the women's world cup cricket that is of a very high standard.

Chat later
