Re: Night Shift

Hi @Shaz51 - how are you?

I'm still trying to slowly get to know people. It takes a moment to adjust to a new online community, especially one such as Sane, with all of these wonderful supportive loving healing relationships in place.

I would hate to step on toes. I move at a slow shuffle, sometimes obsessing about this thing or that, half way between being Mindful and feeling trapped. Also, half way between not saying enough, and saying too much...

One of my main flaws is having what my parents called "mouth diarrhea". As a child growing up in a small farming village in Denmark, I would talk joyously and at great length, questioning and delighting naively in that naturally Mindful way innocent children have. The bullies shut me up for a lot of years, but I found chinks in their armour. If you make them laugh, either they didn't hit you quite as hard, sometimes not at all if you got a good enough laugh...

Self deprecation became a self defence mechanism...

That led to the greater evil of negative self-talk... but that's another strand of my life... another story for another time perhaps...

I'm a writer. I talk too much with my fat fingers, at a page or electronic equivalent... hahaha...

Self deprecation again... hahaha...

Hugs to you peeps...

You'll hopefully excuse me for being a little slow, tapping away at this stupid phone. I can only do it 1-fingered because I can't hold the phone differently, thus releasing the power and speed of 2-fingered typing... stupid hypermobile fingers and wrists... thanks for the odd grab-bag of genetic traits good and bad, oh parents of mine...

[Shakes fist in theatrical mock anger...]

Ow...

Giggle...

I usually scare a lot of people off in the Really Real. Too intense and weird, or too mellow and Zen...

Sometimes talk too much. Sometimes not at all...

Hugs peeps. And always happy vibes... 🙂

Re: Night Shift

I should pop onto my lappy... I type at 95 wpm on a qwerty keyboard...

Much better than this one fat finger...

I think dinner is happening soon. Or pre-dinner drinkies... nom nom nom...

Huggles... 🙂

Dearest @Faith-and-Hope

I thinkn that it's important that 'others have been through this and much worse,'

but what I'm interested in

like others on this forum is YOUR experience.

Yeah, you may have heard worse stories. ( There are babies starving in Africa)

But how are you copping today??man on chairs .jpgWhat is YOUR experience? If you can't acknowledge your life and write about it, it will fall on top of your head one day.

Please write, please cry. We are all interested....

Re: Night Shift

Hello PP eth Faith and hope and all the others

Hope you are all doing ok ... considering ...

I found it very slow to get moving but did get to medical appointment on time, but came home and crashed til my student at 5.  Now I am awake.  Not sure how tonight will go.  I do think it is too much antidepressant, but I am doing what the doctor says for a while more.

Today was a women's health nurse who I have known for 5 years. We both know many of the same people in choir music world ... so it is more like catching up for a friendly gossip than the really real reason for the appointment.  Still I cant complain, but oh ... she actually encouraged me to file an official complaint because I noticed and suffered for a bureacratic change. Life is so weird ... just little steps.

Re: Night Shift

Trying to @eth ❤️

Re: Night Shift

Hi @Appleblossom the little steps add up.  So glad you are finding support for your case.

Re: Night Shift

We've got hypermobility issues too @Silenus.  That's what triggered Daughter 3's pain issues.  Both her knees dislocated, three months apart, four years ago when she had a rapid growth spurt (she's tall).  Didn't know that could happen !!

it started a vicious cycle of stress disorders (IBS, glandular fever, more injuries like tendinitis) and a horrible cycle of trying to catch up on missed schoolwork.

Husband's issues have sent her stress levels through the roof, therefore the pain, and we have been fending her off psychosomatic disorder ... Not sure yet if we are succeeding ... But hoping we are ...

Re: Night Shift

Isnt the human body amazing.  @Faith-and-Hope Your poor daughter. I understand why you are so patient.  My children are tall and I could believe in the truth of my own younger growing pains just watching them expand before my eyes, but we did not have any dislocations.

Thanks @eth  the complaint was filed regarding a technical nursing issue. It was to help her do her job, and others like me.

I have a bigger case coming up with the Royal Commission soon.

How are you at the moment?

Re: Night Shift

I'm doing ok thanks @Appleblossom.  Still not sleeping in a healthy way but had my meds adjusted yesterday so am hoping it will make a difference.

All strength to you in dealing with the Royal Commission.
