You are a writer @MoonGal You are a thinker. That has been evident in all your posts. @utopia is right. Get that certificate. You can finish it regardless of any pear shaped incidents. They are just little incidents. There are so many ripe juicy perfect pears floating around that you have created.
We all make mistakes, call it a mistake and let it go without being too self critical. Its more a question about honing skills and judgements. Thats evolution.
Creative arts can be so competitive. It demands your all,
Pretty sure its why I started to hang out in choirs, as I was craving musical and social harmony ..
I am pretty sure that some of your mania is hope and energy and drive.
Hope they say springs eternal.
Glad to hear from you.
Sorry you are in the dumps

I love this forum and my fellow-travellers here. It is important that at least somebody knows when I switch states. Thank you for encouragement. I got the last assignment done and in. @utopia it is an online course with deadlines, so not one I have to physically inhabit a classroom for. I still have to do three peer-reviews and then I am done.
There is ONE further course I can apply to do, where the student writes a 15 -20 page short story. I will wait until I am feeling better before doing that one.
@Appleblossom, you are a honey, thank you.
I tend to, as you know, throw the baby out with the bathwater when I switch to mixed state or depression. I tend to think that 'Nothing I did before is 'real' 'this is a brain-lie - of course, I am a writer! 🙂 It's not JUST me that thinks so. In fact, I got asked to be a mentor on the course I did because of "academic excellence" and helpfulness towards other students. That doesn't spell - seriously brain-disordered does it? But while I am flat I can't see the good for the bad.
In fact, Damien Leader speaks about Bipolar in terms of it being a condition when people see ALL GOOD or ALL BAD and never the twain shall meet. So true.
Anyways I best get out and get some air and exercise... walk our doggit. Will be good for me.

@Former-Member thanks for very cute sloth pic xx
@Shaz51 - I am terrible. I have a new problem. It's my thyroid, I developed a small goiter week before last and it persisted so I rang my Dr last week, but had to wait a week to see her. I don't know what the problem is yet, had an ultrasound yesterday,, the left hand side of my thyroid is enlarged, not HUGE but definitely larger and I have a sore throat and difficulty swallowing. I had Thyroid bloods taken Tuesday, then the ultrasound yesterday. Back to see Dr next Tuesday. Woke up at 3am this morning with a terrible stomach ache, and feel like I have been hit by a truck. Everything hurts, every joint including all my ribs. I really feel very unwell. I suspect these things are NOT related but am worried as you can imagine.
Anyways I am about to go back to bed. One day at a time right now. One hour at a time, more like. Thanks for thinking of me.

So sorry to read that you are feeling so ill @MoonGal
I also have a thyroid disorder. The left side of my thyroid gland is enlarged, also not largely - but I didn't have a goiter or nodules. I was referred to a wonderful endocrinologist whom recognised the symptoms and diagnosed me with the thyroid disorder "Hashimotto". This was making me feel more depressed and anxious - thyroid disorders can cause psychiatric illness as well.
All I needed to take was one thyroid med. After trial and error, frequent blood tests - eventually I found the right dosage and started to feel much better. I didn't suffer stomach ills from it - that may be anxiety though. The sooner you see a specialist the quicker you can receive the right treatment and put your mind at ease. Don't worry my friend as now that you know what is wrong you can treat it and in time you will feel much better.
Wishing you a speedy recovery. Warm hugs 🤗
